Celebrating 40 Years of Impact with a Fresh Look
This project was completed with Andi Counts at Veridian Design Group, LTD.
I am proud to have contributed to The Carter Center's 2021 Annual Report, which celebrated their 40th year of making a positive impact on the world. I was tasked with bringing the new branding to life for all internal media, including the annual report.
The new strategic plan called for a bright and fun style that would capture the spirit of The Carter Center's mission. To achieve this, we drew upon the organization's rich history and incorporated design elements that paid homage to their four decades of accomplishments.
One of my main contributions was the publication layout design. I worked to create a layout that would be visually engaging while still effectively communicating the vital information contained within. I carefully considered the hierarchy of information, using design elements such as color, typography, and image placement to guide readers through the report.
In addition to layout design, I also worked on graphic design and photoshop for the image cutouts. The images we selected needed to be carefully chosen to represent The Carter Center's accomplishments over the past 40 years. To ensure consistency with the new branding, we cut out the images and added them to the report with a fun, modern twist.
Overall, I am proud of the contributions I made to The Carter Center's Annual Report. By embracing the new branding while paying homage to their history, we created a report that effectively communicated their impact while capturing the spirit of their mission. I believe that the bright and fun style we created will continue to engage and inspire readers for years to come.
