Showcasing a Year of Progress and Impact

This project was completed with Andi Counts at Veridian Design Group, LTD.

Working on The Carter Center Annual Report 2019 was a truly exciting opportunity for me as a graphic designer. This project involved highlighting the incredible work done by The Carter Center, an organization dedicated to promoting peace, health, and human rights around the world. Our team was tasked with creating a publication that would showcase the projects, landscapes, and people that the organization had impacted over the year.

To achieve this, we opted for a clean-cut, modern design with bold typography. We wanted the focus to be on the people and their stories, so we used solid colors and gradient borders as accents rather than overwhelming the layout. I spent a lot of time in Photoshop, carefully selecting and removing the backgrounds of each individual so that they could stand out within the white space of the page.

From the initial brainstorming stage to the final product, we worked hard to ensure that every aspect of the report accurately reflected the mission and values of The Carter Center. We were proud to have played a part in creating a publication that captured the progress and impact of the organization's work.

As a graphic designer, I understand the importance of enhancing the message and impact of an organization. By creating purpose-driven designs, we can help organizations like The Carter Center amplify their brand and reach a wider audience. The Carter Center Annual Report 2019 is a perfect example of how good design can communicate important messages and make a difference in the world.
