Crafting Purpose-Driven Design
This project was completed with Andi Counts at Veridian Design Group, LTD.
As a designer on the World Without Orphans project, I had the privilege of creating a roadmap to help educate people on the foundations of active engagement for pursuing a world where every child is cared for in a safe and loving family. The main goal was to create a visual representation of the journey that highlighted the four stages: collaboration, intervention, prevention, and living refreshed.
To achieve this, we used world maps to give the publication a sense of texture, while the use of abstract versions of torn paper created a youthful and approachable feel. The color palette was carefully selected to evoke a sense of hope and progress, with cool, signature tones used to convey a sense of compassion and connection.
The publication was also complete with charts and illustrations that clearly explained each stage of the journey, making it easy for anyone to understand and engage with the content. By breaking down the journey into smaller, more manageable steps, we were able to help people feel empowered to take action and make a difference in the lives of children around the world.
Overall, we believe that our design approach successfully captured the spirit and purpose of the World Without Orphans initiative, and that the roadmap will help to inspire and motivate people to take meaningful action towards a better future for all children.

Mapping it out.
First, we started with the sections. Attempting to break it down into a linear pathway. This created an idea for zones, which was far too cluttered. After simplification the result allowed us to create variations for each phase.
